Jury Duty & Being a Witness

Does My Employer Have To Pay Me For Jury Duty? (Federal Law)
Please check with your state department of labor to see if your state's laws gives you greater protection. Under federal law, if you earn hourly wages, the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) says your employer has no obligation to pay for the time you missed for jury duty. However, most salaried workers are exempt from FLSA overtime requirements.  Federal law requires that exempt employees must still be paid their full weekly salary, even when they've worked only a partial week because of jury duty. However, the employer doesn't gave to pay you for jury duty that causes you to miss a full week.
